The KL State Drill Competition 2018

Seri Kembangan, Selangor - The Kuala Lumpur State Boys' Brigade organized the bi-annual Kuala Lumpur State Boys' Brigade Inter-Company Foot Drill at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor on 23rd June 2018 with total participation from 11 teams; five from the Junior's and six from the Senior's Section respectively.

  The event started off at 9.00am, but despite the unforetold weather, the competition carried on with the drill squads braving the rain and finishing the competition. Furthermore, the competition was held in conjunction with the KL State Fellowship Camp which was held on 22-23 June 2018. Many supporters and parents were present, gathered at the competition ground. During the closing ceremony, the KL State Commissioner led participants in a one-minute of silence in respect of the the late Mr. Michael Moorthy, former President of The Boys' Brigade in Malaysia.

  Ultimately, the squad from 1st Kuala Lumpur Company was announced as the Champion of the Senior's Section Competition. 1st KL's commander also won Best Commander. This is followed by Runner Ups; 12th Kuala Lumpur Company, 3rd Kuala Lumpur Company, and 10th Kuala Lumpur Company. Likewise, for the Junior's Section, 10th Kuala Lumpur Company was declared Champion along with the Best Commander Award, followed by 1st Kuala Lumpur Company, and 3rd Kuala Lumpur Company.

  With that, the four Senior's Section teams will represent the KL State Boys' Brigade in the upcoming Boys' Brigade Malaysia Pesta and Convention National Drill Competition 2018 held on 21st August 2018 (Monday), 9.00am, Padang Kawad, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
