SEREMBAN, NEGERI SEMBILAN - For  the first time 16 of my fellow BB Boys from Wesley Methodist School Seremban, 8 from the Anglo Chinese School of Seremban (ACSS) and I participated in our  1st Seremban Company Enrolment Service on Sunday 24 February 2013 held at Wesley Methodist Church Seremban. It was a joint service with The Girls’ Brigade.  Wesley Methodist School Seremban (WMSS) BB being the “more” experienced one had the honour to be the colour party which was made up of three of us Lance Corporals, Kendrick, Nasshant and I. Pastor Ronald Yap, our Chaplain conducted the service. Also present that day was our principal, Mr Yii, the ACSS principal, Mr Tony Chow (KL State Commissioner), Mr Kenny Voon (KL State Executive Secretary) and two officers from 3rd KL – Mr Sim Guan Jiann and Mr Steven Voo.

Overall, most of us found that day to be enjoyable and a meaningful experience.

1st Seremban Company was founded in 1961 by Mr Jeffrey Kok at the ACS Seremban. However, after a decade of successful operations and existence in Seremban, the drums and flutes went silent as the company went defunct. In 2011, WMS Seremban requested for the Brigade ministries to be introduced to it's students and Wesley Methodist Church Seremban was approached to be it's Sponsoring Authority. In 2012, the company successfully completed it's trials and officially reopened and recognised as a BB company with The Boys' Brigade in Malaysia.
