It was a difficult time for the family and friends of the late brother Looi Wai Hong, who confronted the untimely departure of a loved one from this world. A funeral service was conducted in the Wesley Methodist Church Kuala Lumpur, of where the 1st Kuala Lumpur Boys' Brigade was based and also the place where Wai Hong spent much of his time. Many of Wai Hong's closest friends and brothers were present to give him a worthy send off. The service lasted no more than an hour and a half before the entourage proceeded for the burial held at another location.

It was a moving service where Wai Hong's videos, which were made by his friends and another by his sister, showed pictures of his earlier times from infancy until quite recently. The congregation were allowed to pay their last respects to Wai Hong as well as expressed condolences to his family. A Guard of Honor flanked the coffin as it was carried out of the Wesley Sanctuary with most present, including 1st KL's Boys and officers shredded to tears. Looi Wai Hong will be deeply missed. May his family and friends take comfort knowing that he is alive and well in the presence of our Father in heaven.
