Sekolah Sri Sempurna, 8 January 2012 (Sunday) - Annual General Meetings (AGM) are annual affairs which all organisations are required to do, once a year. It is not merely a boring gathering where adults come together to discuss countless reports but a time to reflect on events of the past years, identifying mistakes and strengths as well as planning and looking forward to a better year. This years the AGM was hosted by the 10th Kuala Lumpur Company at their school base at Sekolah Sri Sempurna, Taman Cheras, at the eastern side of Kuala Lumpur. Delegates from the Kuala Lumpur State Council (KLSC) Executive Council and all companies were present along with several dozen observers, including those from the Kuala Lumpur Stedfast Association. It was the 10th AGM since the formation the State Council.
Many exciting events are discussed by the State during the AGM, including a coming Bowling Competition and the regular events like NCO Training School. KLSC is also planning have Founder's Day cum Carnival as well as bringing back its officer training courses, which have long been absent from the KLSC calendar. The Pesta was also discussed and with a State level Drill Competition being determined in April. (

KLSC is also embarking on renting its own office space to house it's full time officer early this year. There is also much worries financially. Despite raising substantial amounts of funds for the FTO project, there is a realisation that the current amount will not sustain the FTO beyond 1.5 year. More fundraising initiatives are required to keep the FTO in employment and for the KL State Council to improve and grow.
The meeting ended successfully with many crucial decisions made and a clear sense of the State moving forward. May our Lord continue to watch over this Council and lead us to greater heights!
